A Tailored Approach


I find psychotherapy most effective when it’s tailored to a client’s needs, rather than to a particular type of therapy.  I use an integrative, holistic approach that draws on different modalities: Attachment-based Psychodynamic Therapy, Trauma-based Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Type A Behavior stress management techniques.

An Embodied Approach


I feel it is essential to integrate a somatic focus into our work as traditional psychotherapy often over-emphasizes mental/cognitive processes while neglecting the body's wisdom. I use insights from neuroscience and somatic perspectives to develop mind-body awareness to help you experience your embodied (whole) self.  Self-embodiment brings a greater sense of ease and coherence, allowing you to respond more flexibly to your life’s challenges and experience the richness and fullness of your life more deeply.

I offer individual psychotherapy for adults 18 and older.  I work with clients in person and offer teletherapy to California residents, using secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms. My areas of specialty include:
